Skye Canyon Marketplace Set to Open in Summer 2017

LAS VEGAS - June 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Skye Canyon, a 1,700-acre master-planned community in Northwest Las Vegas, announces that Smith's Marketplace with be the anchor of its Skye Canyon Marketplace. Slated to open in summer 2017, the shopping center will offer 250,000 square-feet of retail and restaurant space and will be located on the northwest corner of Skye Canyon Park Drive and Grand Canyon Drive. The project is set to break ground in October 2016.

The Skye Canyon shopping center will be home to anchor tenant Smith's first Marketplace store in the Las Vegas Valley. The 123,000 square-foot store will include a full sized Smith's grocery store along with 60,000 square-feet of household and décor items, family apparel, dine-in or take-out meals, a drive-through pharmacy and other essentials for customer convenience.  The Smith's Marketplace store will offer 250 new jobs to northwest Las Vegas.

Upon completion the Skye Canyon Marketplace will be approximately 25 to 30 acres. Olympia Companies, developer of Skye Canyon, are meeting with various local and national retailers and food service providers to ensure a balanced mix of shops that will serve and provide general day-to-day necessities of residents living in Skye Canyon and the Northwest part of Las Vegas. Possible retailers include banks, unique restaurants, fast food, hair and nail salons, dry cleaners and cafes.
