Residence Inn by Marriott-Pleasanton Welcomes Charmaine Woods as Director of Sales & Marketing

PLEASANTON, Calif. - June 30, 2016 - PRLog -- The Residence Inn by Marriott Pleasanton is excited to announce that Charmaine Woods has been added to their team as Director of Sales and Marketing, bringing with her over 25 years' experience in the hospitality industry, most recently as Director of Sales & Catering at the Springhill Suites-Napa Valley. Throughout her career, Charmaine had the opportunity to work for many select service and full service hotels, including 2 Marriott full service properties (San Francisco Marriott Marquis and the Oakland Marriott City Center), as well as Renaissance Clubsport, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn and Springhill Suites. Charmaine was a recent recipient of the Opening Sales Team of the Year Award by Marriott International! Charmaine has augmented her experience with other hospitality brands including Hyatt and Sheraton, and has held many sales positions, selling all market segments throughout the entire bay area.

In addition to Sales and Marketing, Charmaine is also well-versed in Food & Beverage and Operations, with past roles including Event Operations Manager, Banquet Manager and Restaurant Manager. Charmaine has a special fondness for the Marriott Brand since her first job ever was with Marriott. Charmaine states "I love what the brand represents and the culture. I live by Mr. Marriott's motto. "If you take care of your associates they will take care of your guest". Residence Inn is my favorite brand because we offer that "Home Away from Home" feel. Our guests become an extension of our own families because they are spending so much time with, us and we get to know them on a personal level."

When not spending time with the Residence Inn family, Charmaine can be found spending time with her own family, especially cheering on her teenage son on the Basketball court and the Soccer and Baseball fields.
