Irwin R. Gilbert Appointed Chairman of The Florida Bar's Business Litigation Committee

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - July 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse, full-service business law firm, announced that Irwin R. Gilbert has been appointed Chairman of The Florida Bar's Business Litigation Committee. Mr. Gilbert, a Partner in the firm's West Palm Beach office, focuses his practice on guiding companies through complex, high stakes business disputes in federal and state court.

The Business Litigation Committee is part of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar. This section is responsible for reviewing and recommending proposed legislation to the Florida Legislature, providing case law updates of relevance to trial lawyers, sponsoring Continuing Legal Education Seminars as well as advocating for the interest of lawyers who litigate business disputes.

Additionally, Mr. Gilbert currently serves as Chairman of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar's Antitrust & Trade Regulation Subcommittee.

In his legal practice, Mr. Gilbert has tried to verdict many high profile cases, including unfair competition, conception litigation, antitrust, fraud, theft of trade secrets, and trademark litigation.  His background includes a wide range of experience practicing throughout the United States, as well as litigating cases in Great Britain and Japan. His clients have included banks, investment firms, executives, celebrities, legal professionals, and Fortune 500 companies.

Among his more groundbreaking decisions, Mr. Gilbert reigned in fiduciaries who had exceeded their powers, including court-appointed guardians and Assignees for the Benefit of Creditors.  He has also protected business clients from lawsuits, including class action, antitrust matters and trade secrets cases. In some of these cases, more than one hundred million dollars was at risk.
