New service being offered in Houston, Texas to help concerned families of older drivers

HOUSTON - July 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Keeping Us Safe is proud to announce that Sondra Wiedenfeld has successfully completed an intensive training program and is now certified as one of the Nation's "Beyond Driving with Dignity" Professionals.

With more than thirteen years' experience in the elder care industry, Wiedenfeld is the owner of Senior Driver Essentials, a Houston-based business that serves older drivers and their concerned families.  Wiedenfeld begins providing the nationally recognized "Beyond Driving with Dignity" services in the greater Houston area effective immediately.

Keeping Us Safe's "Beyond Driving with Dignity" professional certification program has been designed to equip Wiedenfeld and other professionals throughout the United States with tools necessary to help older drivers and their families work through the complicated issue of age related diminished driving skills.

Wiedenfeld believes that a commitment to planning for age-related concerns is an important first-step to preserving vibrant lifestyles and personal independence.  Her company, Senior Driver Essentials, LLC, assists older adults and their families with defining goals and exploring options for senior drivers.  Additionally, Senior Driver Essentials provides community-based educational presentations for older drivers, adult children, and the professionals who serve our senior community.

Having received this certification, Wiedenfeld is now well-suited to provide older drivers and their families with a very specific program that will help them make decisions on how to keep the older driver safe.

Certification in the Beyond Driving with Dignity program is designed to be a common-sense approach to facilitate (and often times mediate!) rational, pro-active driving-related solutions based on tangible facts and personal observations.  The program is unique in that it allows the older driver to play an active role in the decision making process as it relates to his or her driving future.
