By: Stiebel-Getriebebau Safe design for tough requirements "For such a high quality and highly stressed product, the requirement for exceptional strength also, of course, applies to the drive. Our experts have therefore placed special emphasis on a strong design", is how Paul Hermann Schumacher, Managing Director of Stiebel-Getriebebau GmbH & Co. KG, explains the project's development. "An integrated lubricating oil pump ensures reliable operation even when the unit is standing on steep slopes. The drive housing is of split design and is made of nodular cast iron which exhibits tremendous tensile strength thanks to its high ductility. This ensures strength and a high degree of operational capability. A range of variants for different models Stiebel-Getriebebau's efficient solution can be used in a range of heavy-duty applications. This makes it possible to integrate different drive variants to ensure a high performance driving force. A transmission ratio range of up to i=0.6 is possible. Power can be provided by various diesel engines via an SAE flange adaptor, while highly flexible couplings or fluid couplings can be attached to the driveshaft. Driveshafts or various pulleys can be adapted for direct drive mode. The high radial forces caused by the belt drive are absorbed by special outboard bearings. Furthermore, hydraulic units in SAE sizes B-E can be installed in various combinations at the 4 pump drives using adapter kits. Pumps can also be installed on the engine side. Such adaptive versatility of its advanced pump drive allows Stiebel-Getriebebau to offer more effective drive options in the area of mobile hydraulics. End
