New Website Recalls the Glory Days of Grossinger's in the Catskills

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - July 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Due to popular demand, a new website has been created to maintain the memories of Grossinger's, one of America's most iconic hotels, which closed in 1986.

Elaine Grossinger Etess, the former executive vice president of the famed hotel and daughter of legendary hotelier Jennie Grossinger, has created the eponymous website www.ElaineGrossinger.com.  The site is a summation of the hotel's history, as well as a comprehensive highlight of photos, videos and descriptions.

For much of the 20th century, Grossinger's was a choice venue for guests who wanted to escape the heat of the city and enjoy the cool mountain air of the Catskills.

Grossinger's was also famous for its resort facilities, its unsurpassed hospitality, and its entertainment provided by an endless array of comedians, singers and showman.  The resort was also a choice destination for politicians, sports figures, and even royalty.

According to Ms. Etess, the new website enables those who grew up with the hotel and enjoyed its services to relive the halcyon days of "The G."  The site also provides a reference for those who know about Grossinger's only by reputation.

"I continue to hear from people all over the world who want to share their stories of Grossinger's with me," says Ms. Etess.  "Grossinger's was a joyous experience for millions of guests over the years, and now, the website helps recall all the good times and great people who shared this memorable place."

Ms. Etess explains that the website named after her enables visitors to share their own experiences and photos via the site's "Contact Elaine" page.
