Sticking to the belief, the android phone maker has set up a one-of-its-kind assembly unit in the country which operates from Greater NOIDA in Uttar Pradesh. Laying down the foundation of this first unit involved rolling out of the exclusive V series smartphones in the initial phase of its expansion plan.

Competitive Pricing and Specifications

The production facility is believed to be the seventh largest of such stature outside China. It boasts of a maximum production capacity of 1 million handsets every month to be increased further as per requirements. Vivo has already caused a disruption in the market with its cut-throat pricing and specifications. Since it started its operations, the brand has quickly gained visibility in the market with its present share gone up to 1.1 percent.

Adding to its Brand Value

After taking over the Chinese market, the android phone maker moved to its neighbouring economy to offer an enhanced value proposition to the brand-conscious Indians. The production facility in UP, for instance, will assemble every Vivo android phone available in India and encourage empowerment through job creation for the local population while decreasing its dependence on imports.
