Scope e-Knowledge Center Implements First Of Its Kind Program For The Visually Impaired

CHENNAI, India - July 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Scopee-KnowledgeCenter (Scope), a leading provider of knowledge services and a Quatrro Global Services company, is pleased to announce a unique partnership with an exclusive technology centre for the visually impaired. As part of this initiative, Scope recently extended employment offers to twelve visually impaired candidates.

Tram Venkatraman, President of Scope, commented, "To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time ever that visually challenged people have been employed in our industry. We at Scope are very excited about the successful outcome and the difference we will be making in the lives of these visually challenged people. We look forward to having them on board."

A team from Scope recently conducted a test and interview process with a number of candidates. Sixteen qualified for employment, twelve of whom joined the Scope team on July 1, 2016, 4 others are undergoing training before coming on board.

The program was implemented in partnership with the Karna Vidya Technology Centre (KVTC), a not-for-profit training and placement centre for the visually impaired. KVTC is fully supported by the Rotary Club of Madras Coromandel. Working with the motto "Empowerment through Employment!," the Centre conducts technology aided certificate courses for the visually impaired, utilizing professional trainers for specific subject areas. A team of advisors helps the centre execute courses that best suit the needs of the candidates. Scope's training teams also partner with KVTC to build customized training modules so as to skill the visually impaired.
