Follow on Google News | Hands on Training Program in Real Time PCR (qPCR) TechniquePowered by AccuVis Bio, the technology partner.................
By: AccuVis Bio used to amplify a single copy or a few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence. PCR concept is the first step in all DNA and RNA based research including RFLP, TRFLP, AFLP, Real Time PCR, DNA sequencing, Microarray, Next Generation Sequencing and so on. People who are working in diagnostic laboratories like medical, food and environmental may be trained or educated based on the traditional diagnosis methods. They are using microbiological plating technique for bacterial disease diagnosis and for results they have to wait for at least 48 hours. For diagnosis of viral and parasitic diseases, mostly symptoms and conventional PCR methods, which will give only the qualitative results and not about the quantity of that virus or parasites (disease severity). Most of the diagnosis laboratories have Real time PCR machine. Therefore, the laboratory technician and biotechnology students need to have good hands on experience in Real Time PCR. By using this technique, diagnosis will be completed in 3-4 hours and analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. Moreover, we can detect more than two causative agents (>2 bacteria) in a medical or environmental samples. This training will provide you complete good laboratory practices (GLP) in molecular biology laboratory and trouble shooting in PCR and Real Time PCR. Training Program Objectives 1. PCR technique for refreshment Extraction of DNA from human blood PCR for human gene (GAPDH) from extracted DNA Agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA and PCR product 2. Quantification of DNA by Real Time PCR Quantification using GAPDH or 5S primers Real Time reaction set up Quantitative analysis of results using software 3. Real Time PCR for Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) detection from Plasma or Serum samples Total RNA extraction from plasma or serum Real Time reaction set up Quantitative analysis of results using software Information Two day training program Eligibility- industry in the field of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Sciences and related subject areas.
