Two Time Emmy Winner Cady McClain To Guest On The Jimmy Star Show Wednesday August 3rd, 2016

NEW YORK - July 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Two Time Emmy Winner Cady McClain will be a featured guest on The Jimmy Star Show live radio/tv show hosted by King of Cool Jimmy Star along with Cool Man About Town Ron Russell to discuss her phenomenal career and the entertainment industries at large. The Jimmy Star Show with Ron Russell is tv/radio's coolest hit show, featuring the coolest in music, entertainment, fashion and pop culture, all from a fun industry insider perspective in a completely live, unedited fast-paced two-hour conversational format.

Cady McClain has worked extensively as an actor in film, television, and theater. Independent films include "Soldier's Heart ," "Home Movie" (released through IFC), "Alma Mater ," and "Retreat."  Studio films include "My Favorite Year" and "Pennies From Heaven." Television credits include "Law and Order SVU," "Cheers," and "St. Elsewhere." She is a two time Emmy winner for her roles on "All My Children" (Best Juvenile, 1991) and "As the World Turns" (Best Supporting, 2004).

Cady McClain is also a writer, director, and producer. This year her short film, "The World Of Albert Fuh, (https://vimeo.com/108075202)" won Best Comedy Drama Short at the Indie Gathering Festival, was accepted into the SOHO International Film Fest, the LA Indie Film Fest, awarded an Honorable Mention for "Best Director" by the Los Angeles Film Review, and received an Award of Merit by the Best Shorts Film Festival (http://bestshorts.net/?page_id=1021).



Her first short film, "Flip Fantasia, (https://vimeo.com/150478426)" enjoyed acceptance into the Macon Film Festival and gained a remarkable FB cult following of over 80K. Other behind the camera credits include working as an associate producer on the festival multi award-winning film "How We Got Away With It ," (distributed) and as just about every position other than director or actor on the short film, "Discedo, (http://www.imdb.com/video/wab/vi941530393/)" (including special effects makeup, script supervisor, and production assistant.) Cady also enjoys making videos as her original online character "Suzy F*cking Homemaker," which was picked up by Prospect Park for additional promotion of it's online distribution of "All My Children" in 2013.

This year with her new production company, "Devil In The Machine,"she is creating a new piece of Video Installation Art/Film/Web Series on feminism and women's rights, a documentary on female directors, producing a short film for a new multi-cultural production company in Los Angeles, executive producing an Asian/American piece of experimental theater in New York  and founding a small, L.A. based Diverse short film festival set for 2016 called "One Night Only."

Her memoir, "Murdering My Youth" an in-depth look into life as a child actor and her struggles to survive an alcoholic family system, was released in the spring of 2014. As a result she was featured in TV Guide and invited to do a feature interview with Cameron Mathison on Entertainment Tonight.  In one year, her book has received wide acclaim  and 97 five-star reviews  on Amazon.

Cady enjoyed hosting the Palm Springs International Film Festival in 2002, and in 2016 was elected to the board of The Chimaera Project, a not-for-profit that grants funds to visionary women filmmakers.
