AMD Joins Thought Leaders at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Workshop

 
MIRAMAR, Fla. - July 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Akhil Agrawal, President of American Medical Depot (AMD), has been invited to join a prestigious panel of thought leaders as a panelist during the National Academy of Sciences' (NAS) Workshop, Integration of FDA and NIOSH Evaluation Processes of Respiratory Protective Devices for Health Care Workers. The event will be held on August 1, 2016 at the Keck Center of the National Academies in Washington, D.C. Mr. Agrawal joins a panel of leaders from the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, the University of Maryland Medical Center, and 3M to discuss respiratory solutions for protection from airborne pathogens. Mr. Agrawal will share his unique industry perspective based on AMD's long and tenured experience as a supply chain innovator.

The National Academy of Sciences' (NAS) Workshop explores how health care worker safety, health, and productivity can be protected. This forum allows industry experts to evaluate the potential next steps to integrate federal processes (FDA and NIOSH) used to certify and approve N95 respiratory protective devices with approved standards in health care settings.

Mr. Agrawal has also been appointed to several government commissions, including the Executive Committee of the U.S. Small Business Administration National Advisory Council, and the State of Florida Council for Efficient Government. He is also a member of the Governor of the State of Florida's Healthcare Policy Team and co-led the Florida Department of Health Transition Team.

Mr. Agrawal has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida.
