Law Enforcement Under Cyber Attack Study

The study: Law Enforcement Under Cyber Attack examined 287 attacks on Police Departments, Sheriff's Departments, Prisons and other law enforcement organizations over a ten year period (2006 to 2016).  The organizations spanned 22 countries; however, 77% occurred within the United States alone.

Some of the findings of this report include:

* Ransoms were paid in 100% of the ransomware attacks.

* 1.2 million records were compromised by law enforcement personnel.

* 74.2 million records were compromised in total.
