Follow on Google News | Deborah Von Brod on Ellen Lavinthal & Shelley Traywick the Grand Opening of The Animal MuseumEllen Lavinthal, President of Animal Alliance of Beverly Hills together with Shelley Traywick invite you to the VIP Grand Opening of THE ANIMAL MUSEUM December 3rd
By: Animal Alliance of Beverly Hills Their motto: Until we educate the masses, the world will still keep doing the same thing and will reap the same results-- unnecessary pain and suffering for so many sentient beings. The Animal Museum is finally openned its doors in FALL 2016, moving from the much smaller gallery space that it first occupied in 2013! This mecca of learning and empowerment will be the first such museum of its kind, dedicated to animal protection and preserving and interpreting the ongoing legacy of this social movement. The Animal Museum in its new location will be boasting 6,000 square feet of museum space and find itself situated among other Los Angeles cultural institutions. We believe that the human animal bond is a rich, shared experience and that we have the capacity and responsibility to honor the inherent value of the animals with whom we share the planet. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could expose students with their open minds, tourists and friends to these animal protection issues: *Contributing factors to pet over-population— *Factory Farming and alternative food sources. *Animals in Entertainment— *Animals in Fashion—fur, skins, ivory. *Cosmetic Testing and alternative testing and products *Victories in our movement as we highlight the many successes your organization has achieved in the struggle for the rights of all animals. As a museum, we are the first of our kind. We exist to preserve, interpret and share our inspiring legacy of animal protection, to nurture current and future generations' overall awareness about animals in society and to empower change. In 2013, after 4 years of having a strong online presence, we opened our first gallery space in Hollywood. In that time, we held six diverse and thoughtful exhibitions and hosted innovative programs and events. We are now openning in a much larger space in the Arts District in downtown Los Angeles where we will continue to present exhibitons about animal protection and the human-animal bond. The new space will allow us to house permanent, as well as rotating exhibits and appeal to a broader group of visitors. We will also host educational and motivational film screenings, lectures, classes, and events.
