Follow on Google News | Forward Science Increases Facility Size to Accommodate Manufacturing NeedsBy: Forward Science "From day one, we've made the commitment to manufacture the products we develop and sell. In today's outsourcing world, that's a huge undertaking and uncommon. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest quality and having the ability to manufacture according to demand, so that our customers always have access to our products." says Brian Pikkula, co-founder, President and Chief Technology Officer. As popularity for OralID continued to grow throughout 2014, so did the company. In early 2015, Forward Science doubled its facility size to accommodate an ever growing team. The 3,500 square foot facility of Forward Science was the home of not only OralID manufacturing, but an increased product line as well. "We increased our product offering due to clinician feedback," states Robert J. Whitman, co-founder and CEO. "Clinicians wanted more diagnostic tests, so we researched and developed a full line of testing options." Forward Science's full ID Testing options include a liquid based cytology test, CytID; oral HPV test, hpvID; biopsy kit, PathID; and a chairside oral pH test, phID. With an increased market share with OralID and the ID Testing options along with collaborating with some of the most advanced cancer centers in the world, Forward Science quickly became the market leader in oral oncology. In late 2015, Forward Science received another FDA Clearance for its product that addresses the dry mouth epidemic. SalivaMAX, the company's first pharmaceutical product, is the only supersaturated calcium phosphate rinse for dry mouth that is currently on the market. With its latest product launch, Forward Science needed to move to a facility that could handle its growing manufacturing needs and internal sales team. In early 2016, Forward Science moved to its current location, a 19,000 square foot facility where it houses most of its 20 person staff dedicated to R&D, manufacturing, sales, customer service and fulfillment. The Forward Science model is rare in today's world; as it includes all departments of the BioTech Company under one roof. The facility also includes a training center with a capacity of over 30 people for continuing education courses. "With our state of the art facility, we are now able to grow our manufacturing needs to ensure we never run out of product or go on back order, add to our ever growing team, and educate users on site," states Brian Pikkula.
