NEW YORK - Aug. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Solving fractions can be a difficult task for some students when it comes to dividing them, but it is actually very easy. With the basic knowledge of fractions, you can divide them without any problem as they are not difficult to solve, and you will only require a method through which you can solve them correctly and easily. Here in this article, I am going to explain you steps that will help you in dividing fractions and here are they:

1. Understanding fractions and what division means in it

Whether it is about division, multiplication or subtraction of fractions, basic thing you have to do is to understand what fractions are? Next thing about is that you should know what fractions mean in the division.  The next thing you should remember in it is that when you will divide any number between 0 to 1 and the answer obtains from its division is always larger than the original number.

For example: Suppose 2÷1/2 is your sum which you have to solve. The first thing you need to know about is that how many half a 2 have before dividing fraction? The answer to this question is 4.  You can solve this problem with the help of taking an example of an apple. Suppose you have two apples and you cut each one of them in two pieces. Each Apple has two pieces, and if you count the total number of pieces then it will be 4, and it is the right answer to the above solution and by adding them, you will get four halves in it.

2. Its opposite is multiplication

You should always remember that division is an alternative of multiplication, and many students solve the problem of the fraction by reversing the fraction. It is the most common and most adoptable method use by the students. You can easily divide the fractions by reversing their fraction. For better understanding lets take an example which will clear all your doubt.

For example: Suppose your problem is 2/6÷4/2. There are two fractions in it, and they are 2/6 and 4/2 and for dividing a fraction, you can reverse these fractions and after it they will become 6/2 and 2/4. After you reverse them, just multiply them, and it will look like 6/2×2/4 =3/2. It is that simple, and you just don't need to go for nay hard method, and you can solve them easily by reversing them.

3. Memorize the above steps and solve it in sequence

The next and last thing you should do are to memorize the above-learned steps and after that, you can start solving fractions. Diving fractions are not difficult, and you only have to follow the above steps for its solution.  Next thing you should do is to start with the easy questions which you can solve with ease. This thing will help you a lot as if you will jump to the difficult questions then you will become frustrated and leave it, so it is better to solve the easy one. In this way, you can become a master in it.

Above are the simple and easy three steps, and if you follow them then you need not face any problem in dividing fractions, and you will be no more afraid from fractions.
