Pillars Of Light and Love to Host Free Workshop: Internet Safety for Children and Teens

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Aug. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Pillars of Light and Love, a 501 c(3) Non-Profit Organization will host the free workshop, Internet Safety for Children and Teens on August 23rd at 6:30 pm. The event will be held at The Empowering U Center, located at 511 W. Main St, in Trappe, PA.

Dr. Karen (Santillo) Fiorillo  helps parents and guardians understand the facts and fallacies about Internet Safety through social media for children and teens.In this informative workshop, she will share important tips everyone should know and implement.

A Graduate of Rosemont College, Dr. Karen A. (Santillo) Fiorillo achieved an MS, Technology in Education. In 2015 Dr. Fiorillo was awarded her EdD in Educational Leadership in Technology from University of Phoenix. She has served as Computer Coordinator/K-8 Technology at St. Eleanor School, Collegeville. From 1999-Present she has been employed as a Middle and Elementary School Technology Integration Specialist in the Souderton Area School District.

Her Published Dissertation is entitled "Guidance Counselor Perceptions of Cyberbullying Behaviors in a K-12 Environment: An Exploratory Single-Case Study." Dr. Fiorillo served as an adjunct professor at Rosemont College, has presented at national and international conferences, to local school districts, and at workshops at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.

Pillars of Light and Love is a non-profit launched in 2015 by business owner Kathy Opperman. The main focus of the non-profit is Stress and Life Management for all ages. Our goal is to educate children, teens and adults to reduce stress, have strong self-esteem, overcome anxiety, build confidence, and achieve effective coping techniques, positive communication skills, and healthy relationships.
