Concord Gym Owner Named Highest Performance Business Owner of the Year

CONCORD, N.H. - Aug. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Get Fit NH Co-owner Dean Carlson was recently named "Highest Performance Business Owner of the Year" at the Elite Fitness and Performance Summit in Louisville.

At the summit, top fitness, performance, and business minds came together to offer up immediate implementation strategies to help other fitness industry business owners continue to develop their business. Carlson was honored according to his performance on a number of operational business excellence metrics such as sales revenue, controlling expenses, profit margin, marketing efficiency, accountability to the coaching process, and engagement with and assistance to peers. One of Carlson's many passions is helping other coaches in the industry 'up their game'. He often has other coaches and business owners come in for a tour of his Get Fit NH facilities in Concord and Epsom so he can answer their questions and give advice. At the conference Carlson demonstrated his passion for mentoring his peers. His presentation, given in his humorous and self deprecating style, titled 'Why Your Business Will Never Outgrow The Dope Leading It', encouraged business owners to look at themselves as a leader and ask in what ways they themselves might be blocking their business' success.

Dean credits his own success at Get Fit NH in large part to his striving to be a good boss and to do what it takes to make sure his coaching team is well equipped to be the best coaches they can be, that they have flexibility to pursue their own passions within the coaching field, and have a life outside of the gym. He believes that when the team is taken care of with excellence they will treat his clients with that same excellence.
