USA Team Volleyball Style Training Coming to Ledgewood, NJ - Sneak Peek Xtreme Volleyball Academy

ROXBURY, N.J. - Aug. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Volleyball players, enthusiasts, family and friends are invited to a special Sneak Peek of Xtreme Volleyball Academy's (XVA) new location at 114 Hillcrest Avenue off Route 10 West in Ledgewood, NJ, on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitors will be able to meet the Coaches and Staff, tour the gym, and experience and learn about the innovative programs, methodologies and technologies used by USA Volleyball Team to be offered by this newly formed educational, non-profit organization dedicated to instructional and personal growth for junior volleyball players through to adults. Programs at the new facility will start in September 2016 with try outs for the Club Programs taking place in November 2016. Sign-ups will be available during the event.

"We feel we have created something special here since we plan to offer programs and instructions for every level of skills all while helping individuals and teams grow in their sense of sportsmanship, commitment, character, and community," explains Co-Founder and Director of Operations Allison Hayward. "Our primary objective is to help players develop skills not only as athletes, but also as individuals. Life is about setting and achieving goals – we plan to do that every day here. While enjoying some really awesome volleyball."

XVA will offer Club Programs on the national, regional and local levels. In addition, it will offer specialized Academy Programs such as Middle and High School Programs, Adult Volleyball, Beach, Boy's Team and the newest program - Parent Volleyball and Me. Co-Owner and Director of Coaching Braulio Rivera who developed the program explains, "The Parent Volleyball and Me is a one-of-a-kind experience for children ages five to ten to enjoy with their parents/guardians. It's a very fun, positive instructional program that builds confidence and a bond between the child and parent / guardian."

One of the most innovative approaches players can expect at this new club is Xcel. Co-Founder and Club Director / Head Coach Cindy Rivera explains, "The future of volleyball is here at XVA. We have developed Xcel, a training methodology that combines traditional best practices with the effective use of the newest technologies. Players learn correct volleyball technique, how to condition for strength, prevent injury, and maintain a positive attitude, while living a healthy lifestyle and working as a team."

She adds, "Through the use of new equipment like VERT, the same technology used by the USA Volleyball Team for measuring jump performance, and Live Video Delay software, we enable our players to see real time action to assist them in improving performance. We feel we are combining the best of traditional and modern training methods and are really excited to have players come out and experience it for themselves."

During the sneak peek, in addition to demonstrations of the aspects of Xcel, some of the other activity stations will include meet and greet with the Coaches, conditioning and drills, and an overview of community service. "We believe strongly that members of XVA will not only be a part of our volleyball community, but also the world around us," notes Hayward. "That is why part of our programs will incorporate community service and teaching life lessons on giving back."
