Follow on Google News | New Appointment Strengthens Private Client Team of the YearLeading law firm Latimer Hinks has bolstered its private client team with the appointment of a new solicitor, Jennifer Quayle.
Jennifer has moved back to the North East from London to join Latimer Hinks' private client department which is led by CEO Anne Elliott. Jennifer joins a prestigious team, which earlier this year won the Private Client Team of the Year trophy, a new category in the Northern Law Awards. Jennifer, who attended Durham School and Sunderland Church High School before completing her law degree at Northumbria University said: "I always planned to return to the North East and when an opportunity arose at Latimer Hinks, I jumped at the chance. It's an incredibly exciting time to join the firm in light of the recent win at the Northern Law Awards. "I advise on wills, trusts, tax, probate and estate planning, helping families arrange their estates in order financially, keeping as much of their hard-earned cash as possible for their nearest and dearest rather than it going to the taxman." Jennifer's role means she is also part of the Latimer Hinks' Court of Protection Team, which specialises in applications to court to allow decisions to be made for those who lack mental capacity. Applications are made to appoint a nominee, known as a deputy, to manage a person's property and financial affairs or personal welfare where they are unable to make those decisions themselves. The Team also advises clients in relation to more complex issues, including Statutory Wills where, in very particular circumstances, the Court of Protection can make a will on behalf of those who lack mental capacity. Anne said: "We're thrilled to have Jennifer on board. We know how important the issues, which Jennifer is dealing with, are for our clients. Her skills and expertise complement and strengthen those of our award-winning team, making sure our clients receive the expertise, help and advice they need."
