Throwback Fest 2016 Jacksonville, FL

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Aug. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- It was a night to remember as the city of Jacksonville, FL prepared themselves for an old school jam extravaganza hosted by Musical Ear Events, LLC and V101.5 The Beat. Great food, drinks and good music was just what the day needed as the Florida sun blazed the park, but it didn't stop thousands from coming out to enjoy the smooth sounds of Slave, Club Nouveau, Rick James Stone City Band, Force MD's, EnVogue and Tony Toni Tone (minus the Tony Toni Tone, will catch you up in a sec). Security were on their A game checking bags while the vendors were filling the stomachs of very excited concert goers and you know that Lady Sapphire an Sapphire Entertainment PR was all up in everything. Hopefully all of facebook had an opportunity to see most of the event "Live Streaming" as Sapphire Entertainment PR didn't want anyone to miss a thing. However, if you were not at Metro Park, you truly missed a treat.

We heard some of our favorites songs like Watching You, Lean on me, Love is a House, Fire and Desire, and Hold On just to name a few and not to mention, all of today's greatest hits being played by the amazing V101.5 Radio Station and Host. Some of my favorite performances were from Rick James Stone City Band "Fire and Desire" and "Give it to me Baby" and also the incomparable EnVogue "Hold On" and "Lady Marmalade" cover. Some danced until the sun went down (no exaggeration) and line dances covered the park. It was truly a wonderful evening even though the headliner Tony Toni Tone did not blaze the stage due to a violation of city ordinances (time restraints) the group was unable to perform. You can see and hear the disappointment from the fans who came far and near to hear their favorite groups. I myself had to pick my heart up off the ground when I saw the group walk off the stage and into their vans. However, the evening was far spent and the all of the performers did a great job and truly lit up the night and no one can deny that.

Even though we didn't get to hear from Tony Toni Tone, it was an amazing event and I am excited about the next time Musical Ear Events puts on the next concert. Great job everyone!
