George Bowman was a N.J. F.O.P. member who died in the line of duty effecting an arrest in 1995. He had been a staunch advocate for survivor rights and benefits. The State Lodge created the George Bowman Survivors Fund on his behalf in 1996, and an annual fundraising event began in honor of his career and achievements. Each year the N.J. F.O.P. holds an annual golf outing in his memory and name. As the fund grows, so does the benefit given to the families.
