Top Mortgage Company Donates to George Bowman Survivors Fund

PARSIPPANY, N.J. - Aug. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- The 11^th Annual George Bowman Survivors Fund Golf Classic was held last week at the Pennsauken Country Club in Pennsauken, NJ. The George Bowman Fund assists the families of New Jersey FOP members who were killed in the line of duty.  The benefit is given to the recipient family within one week of the officer's death to help the family remain solvent until pension and insurance benefits begin.

George Bowman was a N.J. F.O.P. member who died in the line of duty effecting an arrest in 1995. He had been a staunch advocate for survivor rights and benefits. The State Lodge created the George Bowman Survivors Fund on his behalf in 1996, and an annual fundraising event began in honor of his career and achievements.  Each year the N.J. F.O.P. holds an annual golf outing in his memory and name.  As the fund grows, so does the benefit given to the families.
