CORONA, Calif. - Aug. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- U.S. Battery Manufacturing has donated the use of one of its commercial trucks to the Convoy Of Care, a group of trucks that are delivering food, clothing, and supplies to Louisiana flood victims.

"We are proud to show our support for the victims of the devastating flooding in Louisiana," said Don Wallace, U.S. Battery CMO/Executive Vice President. "U.S. Battery is part of the Georgia Motor Trucking Association, who called for members to help out with the Convoy of Care. We offered one of our trucks and are happy to be a part of a growing list of aid that is ready to bring assistance."

U.S. Battery will join 7 Hills Transport, Holland, Herschel Evans, Syfan Logistics, JenHaul Transports, Otd Logistics, Metro Trailer Leasing, and Duval Semi Trailers in the convoy. Organized by volunteers and the American Red Cross, the convoy will be escorted by law enforcement officials, including the Georgia Highway Patrol and Louisiana State Troopers, as it heads to the distribution site on the grounds of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport.

"We also want to thank Louisiana State Troopers for offering their training facility as lodging and parking for the convoy and the drivers," said Wallace. "They will provide security and safety for the convoy before heading out to the distribution centers to unload the trucks and aid in the distribution of supplies to those who need it."
