Follow on Google News | Ironman Computers Selling PCs to Phoenix Businesses, Schools Via Text and Social MediaChandler tech company giving Valley companies an easier way to buy laptops and delivery is free
By: Ironman Refurbished Business Computers IRBC is owned by computer instructors Ken Chan and his sister, Linda Chan. When families kept asking for affordable PC's they decided to recondition used business grade laptops and desktops for resale in 2011. They first started marketing the units on Craigslist and the company is now selling 130-150 units per month to businesses and consumers through a mixture of Craigslist and Facebook advertising and word of mouth referrals. According to Ken Chan, "We want to make it easy for businesses to get what they need and social media has been great to us. People simply message us and we find the right model and configure it to their specs. We consider our PCs to be repurposed and not used because we only work with top consumer rated models and make them like new for customers." The company has started marketing to schools and recently sold 32 PCs to the Jerome School District who found out about IRBC on Facebook. The brother and sister team, who immigrated to the US from Hong Kong in 1997, also own the popular FutureKiddie program which teaches basic computer skills to children ages 3-7 at 19 Valley preschools. The company delivers the laptops and desktops to businesses throughout the Phoenix metro area or units can be picked-up by appointment up at their Chandler warehouse. Delivery is free throughout the Valley and shipping is free on orders over $50 outside of Phoenix. Prices for the company's Dell, HP and Lenovo PC's start at $299. Customers receive a tutorial about the model they purchase when it's delivered. Each unit comes with a 1 year limited warranty and lifetime technical support. They also provide computer repair and network services through relationships with nationwide service providers. Dr. Robert Leman of Scottsdale Chiropractic has been using the company for over 2 years for computer purchases for their 5 locations. He says, "You know what you are getting and everything we've purchased has worked flawlessly."
