Having received a literature degree with minors in journalism and creative writing from Newman University in her hometown, Wichita, Kansas, she has continued studying and working on honing her craft, taking advantage of writing workshops and retreats, networking through conferences, and working with critique editors. She also belongs to several writing groups within her state's radius. Her thriller, Castle of Cards, touches on a timely topic—education— "After meeting Linda last year at Lexicon in Denton, Texas, she submitted Castle of Cards to LLA. Yes, it took a whole year to get to it in my queue, but was it ever worth the wait!! I took it on immediately upon completion. "Then I got to speak with her for a few minutes at this year's Lexicon.
