By: The Rock Church & FPIW "We hosted our legislators in May. The event was SO good that we're doing it again! The content, demeanor, and information were very helpful. EVERY PERSON WHO CARES FOR OUR COUNTRY NEEDS this dialogue. Especially THIS year!" - Jeff Knight, Lead Pastor, The Rock Church "What an eye opener! I loved learning that many of our government representatives feel "called to be in the offices" they hold. Not only are they passionate about the welfare of others, our state, and our nation, but keeping their positions aligned to Biblical principles. Their candor about the issues was eye-opening, gave me greater understanding, and I'm feeling better prepared when I place my ballot in the box." – Beth Neibert, Citizen of Snohomish County The focus of this event is not: * Hearing our Representatives and Senator speak about their promises once in office; * Telling people who and what to vote for; or * Hearing how terrible one side is versus another side. The focus of this event is: * Encouraging people to be the ambassadors that Jesus has made them to be; * Connecting with our Representatives and Senator on a personal level; * Educating the community about current issues that affect us in a real way; and * Equipping people with practical tools to make a positive impact for Christ. Many statistics show that the Christians make up about 25% of the voting block in the United States. However, there are still about 10 million who are not registered to vote. Also, of those registered to vote, only about half actually vote. Just think, if all of those in the Church actually decided to vote in any given presidential election, we would be a sizable and powerful influence ... close to 60% of the actual voting population. We are a solution! Current Events Hardball is a call to service. It's not an accident that we are all here for such a time as this. God knew what we would be up against and He also made a way for victory. We are made to be a solution to the problems we see in our world, our country, our state, our county, our cities, and our families. It is our hope that this event informs, equips, and energizes each attendee into action. Everyone is invited to attend this free family-friendly event and parents are encouraged to bring their children, if desired.
