LGBT Short Film Heart of a Woman (True Story) Based on Memoir I Rise by Trans Author Toni Newman in Postproduction Now

Heart of a Woman short film starring Transgender Actresses Angelica Ross and Isis King is in postproduction and completed filming August 26, 2017 at Nvisionate Studios in Burbank, California. Keith Holland is the Director of the Film with Executive Producers Toni Newman, Angelica Ross, Jill Stockwell, Alton Willoughby and Keith Holland.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Sept. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- LGBT short film Heart of a Woman (true story) has completed filming on August 26 and is now in postproduction. Heart of a Woman is based off Memoir I Rise by Transgender Author Toni Newman, Development Manager for Maitri Compassionate Care in San Francisco. The film features 2 transgender actresses Angelica Ross and Isis King. The other leads in the film are Rachel Sterling and Justin Berti with appearances by E.P. McKnight, Trisha Paschke and Jason Stuart.

The director of the film is Keith Holland and Executive Producers are Toni Newman, Alton Willoughby, Jill Stockwell, Keith Holland and Angelica Ross. The film speaks to the discrimination and inequality of transwomen of color and the sex industry. Transwomen of color struggle to survive daily in the US and abroad.
