DENVER - Sept. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- Synavax™, a global leader in nanoscience solutions for sustainability and energy efficiency, announces their solution to factories and facilities to insulate their boilers to both reduce energy costs and improve employee safety. If you power your factory or facility building using steam, then you have most likely seen rusting boilers or boilers where traditional insulation has become soggy, moldy, or ineffective. You may also have boiler rooms that are like walking into the middle of a heat wave due to all the heat radiating from the surface. This is something that Synavax™ and their Sustainability Accelerated™ Team see and solve all the time with their patented Heat Shield™ EPX-H2O coating technology.

Synavax™ has introduced Heat Shield™ EPX-H2O, a two-part water-based reactive prepolymer that provides thermal insulation and corrosion prevention for a variety of industrial insulation applications. This nanoscience product is designed to withstand harsh industrial and outdoor environments and provide an in service, spray-on application with no cladding or covering needed.

The coating can reduce hot surface temperatures to a safe touch range, which is more important than ever since the recent increase in OSHA penalties. This reduction in surface temperature is often 150 degrees or more, with just a thin layer. It also offers splash resistance to chemicals; is resistant to 98 percent sulphuric acid, ammonia, bleach, and other acids, bases, and fuels; and is hydrophobic and resistant to mold growth.

And if you don't have a boiler, there are many other types of hot or cold surfaces, like hot water heaters, A/C ducts, or processing tanks that also benefit regularly with this innovative insulation and corrosion prevention coating.

Recently, just 2 hours after application, this coating reduced the surface temperature on a boiler used by a large hospital from 230F to 136F with just 6-coats, falling well below the typical 140F threshold considered "safe to touch." Synavax™ has helped many types of manufacturers and facility owners insulate their boilers and heat process equipment for facility energy efficiency to meet their energy saving and safe touch employee safety goals for over a decade in over 60 countries. The company offers complimentary specifications with detailed cost/payback analysis.
