BMW USA 'Pay It 4ward' Brunch to Make Fourth Stop in Nation's Capitol

 
WASHINGTON - Sept. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- The fourth honors brunch in the "Women Who Pay It 4ward" series from BMW will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Washington, D.C. At the invite only brunch, BMW will recognize four renaissance women making professional and philanthropic impacts in the community.

In December 2015, this series was launched in Chicago, featuring the inaugural honorees: Katherine Darnstadt, Dr. Yolandra Johnson, Farissa Knox, and Halleemah Nash. This past May, the series made its second stop in New York, honoring: Dr. Janna Andrews, Christal Jackson, Raquel Liberman, and Jaclyn Rosenberg. In July, the series made its third stop in Los Angeles, honoring: Lina Esco, Tiffany Persons, Angela "Stikks" Adams, and Rachel Buenvieje.

The Washington, D.C brunch will be hosted by Reneé Starlynn Allen, a radio producer and commentator who is the President and Founder of Star Entertainment Group LLC and Vets 4 Life, and is also the host of The Reneé Starlynn​ Speaks Show. Allen will emcee the brunch honoring:

Natalie Cofield -­ A converted management consultant, economic fellow, and economic development Director, Cofield is the Founder & CEO of Walker's Legacy, a global women in business collective and Urban Co­Lab, a shared co-­working community for urban innovators. She previously served as the President & CEO of the Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce where her work resulted in award ­winning,case ­studied, nationally covered acclaim including the development #IAMBLACKAUSTIN. Her work has spanned continents, communities and corporations and can currently be found impacting lives and bottom lines at organizations in cities like Austin, New York, D.C, Los Angeles, Nairobi and beyond.

Rina Shah ­- ​Shah is a strategic consultant, media commentator and columnist, and millennial entrepreneur based in Washington, D.C. Prior to launching Rilax Strategies – a government and public affairs firm – Rina served as a senior staffer to two Republican Members of U.S. Congress. She also currently serves as an Advisor to VoteRunLead, a Board of Directors Member for Representation2020, a Founder-level member of RightNOW Women PAC, a Co-Chair of Concord 51's D.C Chapter, and as an inaugural member of the U.S. House of Representatives Republican Conference's Indian American Advisory Council. Rina previously served as a Spokeswoman for NextGenGOP and in the same capacity for the Republican Indian PAC. In addition to the major television networks where she appears as a political commentator, Rinacan be regularly seen on PBS' "To The Contrary" — the only all-women news Sunday show in the nation, now in its 25th season. She is most grateful to her immigrant parents for shaping her political activism and helping her realize her dream of entrepreneurship.

Edda Coleman -­ ​Edda Collins Coleman is Founder and Managing Director of The 316 Group, a boutique firm working across political party lines to focus on political engagement, public affairs, advocacy relations,​ inclusion and leadership initiatives. She is also the Co­Founder and Chief Public Affairs Officer for All In Together, a non­profit campaign dedicated to American women's political and civic engagement. ​Edda​ serves ais an adjunct professor in American University's School of Communication, Department of Public Communication. In addition to keynote presentations at other national universities and conferences, her insights have appeared in media outlets such as Huffington Post, The Hill, Forbes and the DailyWorth.

Kirby Bumpus -­ ​Kirby has spent the past five years serving in various positions within the Obama Administration, in a career focused on improving the lives of Americans throughout the lifespan. She most recently served as a Senior Advisor at the White House and led a variety of issues related to physical activity, nutrition and the Department of Interior. She has also served as the Associate Director for Policy at Let's Move! in the Office of the First Lady. Let's Move!, an initiative created by First Lady Michelle Obama in 2010, encourages children and their families to live healthy lifestyles. In this role, Kirby oversaw the various Let's Move! programs and worked closely with an array of private partners and federal agencies. Previously, she served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S Department of Health and Human Services where she worked on health policy and various public health initiatives at a national level.

Guests will have the opportunity to "Drive for a Cause." For every guest that test drives a car, BMW will make a donation to a charitable cause. "It has been an honor to showcase such influential women who are making an impact across the country, while also raising money for such a worthy cause," said Kevin Williams, Head of Multicultural Marketing at BMW Group.
