Chroma Highlights Wound Component Test Instrumentation at CWIEME Chicago

Chroma to exhibit wound component test instrumentation and motor stator test systems at North America's largest coil winding, electric motor and transformer event in October in Chicago.

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. - Sept. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of power conversion test equipment, will be highlighting its wound component test instrumentation and motor stator test systems at CWIEME Chicago, North America's largest coil winding, electric motor and transformer event October 4-6, 2016. Highly specialized test engineers will be available in booth N39 to discuss Chroma's innovative products and solutions specifically for wound component, stator and transformer testing. Chroma is well known for their power conversion, electrical safety, and component testing lab equipment in power supply, battery, energy storage, electric vehicle, PV inverter, LED, medical, defense, aerospace and commercial applications.

CWIEME Chicago is the leading show of its sector in North America attracting a highly specialized audience of design and product engineers, along with procurement professionals, from across the Americas.

Showcased will be Chroma's newly released 19301A Impulse Winding Tester designed for low inductance applications including transformers, power chokes, and other wound components. Combined with high/low inductance applied technology, the 19301A Impulse Winding Tester has 1000V impulse voltage, 0.25V resolution, and a 200MHz high speed sampling rate to satisfy test requirements for a wide range of power inductance products from 0.1uH to 100uH. The function of the 19301A Impulse Winding Tester is to discover potential defects as early as possible. Defects can be winding layer short, poor electrode welding, and poor internal coil or core insulation.

Visitors to Chroma's booth will also have access to information and brochures on Chroma's negative pressure 1920 Motor Stator Test System. Specially designed for motor stator coil production and quality assurance testing, the 1920 performs up to 40 channels of testing required to detect vulnerabilities in quality and reliability in stator wire and windings.

Integrated into the system is Chroma's 19036 Wound Component EST Analyzer which performs AC and DC Hi-Pot testing, insulation resistance measurement, 4-terminal DC resistance measurement, and impulse winding testing with a built-in 10 port scanner; Chroma's 3252 LCR Meter for Ls/Q and winding phase measurement; a vacuum system and a custom test fixture. System software provides a user friendly test control and program editing interface, a display of test results, data recording, and file management.
