BLR Sign Systems Delivers Spartan Stadium Title Sponsor Signage

MILPITAS, Calif. - Sept. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- San Jose State University's Spartan Stadium is undergoing a huge name change. The university joined the movement to rebrand its stadium with a corporate sponsorship. The football stadium still will hold the Spartan name, but will now be "CEFCU Stadium – Home of the Spartans." CEFCU is an acronym for the Citizens Equity First Credit Union.

Gene Bleymaier, SJSU's director of athletics, said, "We're constantly looking for corporate partners and sponsorship opportunities, and that's an expanding area only limited by one's imagination." CEFCU will invest $8.6 million to support the SJSU athletics department through scholarships, improvements to facilities and other programs. The signage plan was developed to maximize brand awareness throughout the stadium.

To support the new stadium sponsorship program, BLR Sign Systems created and installed new signage elements for the title sponsor on the exterior and interior of the grandstands, ticket offices, scoreboards and field. The project was awarded in early August and signage was produced and installed by the Spartans' first home game on Saturday, September 10. Kevin Griffin, President of BLR Sign Systems, said, "We're excited to have been chosen to provide the new signage for the Spartans' stadium.
