Waukesha Choral Union and Local High Schools Perform "Together As One"

Collaboration Kicks Off 2016-17 Season As WCU enters its 43rd Season Entertaining Audiences Throughout Southeastern Wisconsin
 
WAUKESHA, Wis. - Sept. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Waukesha Choral Union will perform and collaborate with Kettle Moraine High School's Chamber Choir and the Chamber Chorus Singers of Waukesha North High School at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 145 Lisbon Rd., Oconomowoc.

    The program includes WCU performing arrangements from Yehezkel Braun's "Seven Sephardic Romances" and choral excerpts from "Elijah," by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. The combined choirs will perform "Turn the World Around," by Harry Belafonte and Richard Freedman.

    Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors over 60, $8 for students and $4 for youth under 12. Season tickets at a savings for the four concert season are available at the door or online.

    Waukesha Choral Union is entering its 43rd year. This year's theme for four performances is "From the Heart, For the Soul." Performances are held at various venues throughout Waukesha and Oconomowoc. WCU is proud to collaborate with local churches and with Carroll University, which holsts the spring free concert in Marh and the final concert of the season in May.
