Cemex Proves It's Timelessness, Celebrates 100 Years

VICTORVILLE, Calif. - Sept. 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Cemex is a leader in manufacturing and distribution of building materials such as ready-mix concrete and aggregates. Lead by Ignacio Madridejos, the building material company has conquered the globe. And, with a little help from Event Solutions, they have conquered time as well. Celebrating their 100 year anniversary on Thursday, they opened a time capsule with various contents placed by employees and executives some 50 years ago!

The catered event happened under the shade of tents in Victorville, CA. The contents of the capsule, such as old cemex bags, pictures and letters, were removed. New items such as safety hats, new mixing bags and letters from current employees, were added to await the next generation.

The anniversary event was a walk through time with displays of old pictures, time-stamp cards, past letters and heartfelt speeches. The guest speakers emphasized family as the cement that holds them together with one timeless story coming from the daughter and late wife of two generations of Cemex workers.

Mayor of Apple Valley, Larry Cusack, was present to celebrate the 100 year milestone and enjoy a tour of the plant. After the cake cutting ceremony, lunch was provided by Event Solutions for the 200 guests, employees and executives.
