Michigan Retailers Invited to Meet & Support Local Fashion Designers at the Inaugural DGG Showroom

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oct. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Detroit Garment Group is inviting Michigan's fashion and accessory retailers to make appointments to view the collections of the current Entrepreneurs-in-Residence of the DGG Fashion Incubator, located at TechTown in Detroit.

The DGG Showroom takes place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., October 26, at TechTown: 440 Burroughs St., Detroit, MI 48202, home of the DGG Fashion Incubator.

All interested retailers will be sent a pdf containing a representative image of each designer's collection. Retailers may specify if they would like to meet with individual designers or would prefer to browse all the collections. Seven collections will be featured.

"The designers have worked all year to prepare for this showroom," says Detroit Garment Group Founder and President Karen Buscemi. "We are so excited for them to come face-to-face with retailers interested in placing orders with local talent, and showcasing not only their beautiful garments and accessories, but the business acumen they've acquired during their time in the DGG Fashion Incubator."

The DGG Fashion Incubator launched in November 2015. During that time, vetted Michigan fashion designers have built their businesses while building their collections, utilizing all the services of the incubator, including industrial sewing machines, cutting table, digitizer and plotter, nine mentors (in every business expertise from legal and finance to sales and marketing), and monthly workshops that focus on the business of fashion.
