E.D.P. (E. Diggz Productions) Str8jakkett & IBMG Present the release of Middle Finger Mentality

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Oct. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Middle Finger Mentality by Str8jakkett of E.D.P. in conjunction with IBMG is a deep look into the life and times of Str8jakkett, E.Diggz, and Jay Scholla during the past 3 years of production with E.D.P.. Some of the lyrics are referring to specific people such as Natureboy (Mr. Walker), Tech Nine and Strange Records, Pro P, and a few other locals from the Kansas City area.

In 2012, E.Diggz had come across a beat producer by the name of Pro P and he was really feeling the beats he was hearing. He had sifted through a catalog of Pro P's beats basically sizing them up one by one and putting them away for Str8jakkett. Upon completion of the catalog Diggz decided to try and contact Pro P about using his beats this way there was no misunderstanding if and when released. Diggz was basically making sure everything was on the up and up before proceeding. Every track Str8jakkett and Diggz produced they sent the 1st look over to Pro P following the guidelines for beat usage. Everything was going fine for a while until almost 2 years later on one of Str8jakkett's releases, the self-titled album, "Str8jakkett" happened to get flagged and then emailed by Pro P about copyright infringement. This did not hold well with the E.D.P. label and Str8jakkett because all rules and agreements were followed accordingly. After receiving the infringement E.D.P. finally removed the ONE track that was sending the flags over to Pro P. Str8jakkett had a multitude of tracks that were used from Pro P and because of all the frustration and miscommunication E.D.P. trashed every song which totaled out to be around 17 tracks from Pro P and vowed to never work with that name or his beats again.

About a few months later Jay Scholla had contacted Loaded Lux about a feature to get him on a track with Str8jakkett. They were than lead to a man named Natureboy (Mr. Walker). Natureboy was taken back by Str8jakkett's talent and proceeded to move on another route with Str8jakkett. He wanted to try and build up Str8jakkett's catalog which seemed like a great idea for the upcoming artist at the time. Natureboy then proceeded to send the E.D.P. team a beat package that contained about roughly 30 beats and a distribution contract through Universal. The team had to put out money in totality of about 2,500 dollars for all to go through. Through numerous talks and scheduled meetings that really never took place it seemed to the E.D.P. team that the situation was not right and decided to back out upon return of the money sent. Not long after that, the E.D.P. was informed that Natureboy was locked up in a federal prison. At that moment the team knew that they were taken for that money and would never see it again. Basically stealing money from 3 different families that were barely making it to begin with and were trying to follow their dream. This was mentioned in the Middle Finger Mentality Outro in the First verse.

With previous issues Str8jakkett has dealt with in the past with locals and X crew members in Kansas and the new issues with people mentioned, it was enough for him and the E.D.P. team.

From that moment on it was basically Middle Finger Mentality!

A year went by and in May 2015 Str8jakkett and E.Diggz decided to reach out to Travis the CEO of Strange Records. E.Diggz had tried to reach out to Travis through Facebook messaging and left a number to contact Diggz about a possible feature with Tech Nine. On Str8jakkett's side, him and his very close friend tried to reach out through an artist that was signed to Strange and was a mutual acquaintance. They got as far as setting up a meeting with Travis. Through the later weeks it was deemed that the Strange label was shaking off Str8jakkett and not trying to even give him a chance to speak with them. Now Str8jakkett is no stranger to Tech Nine. They know each other and have been around one another in the past when Str8jakkett was an active member of the group DVS Mindz. This also was not taken very lightly as now even more fuel was added to the fire that was already burning on high!

The E.D.P. team was getting shot down in basically every aspect and finally had enough. Str8jakkett transformed all the negativity and filtered his rage into a project called Middle Finger Mentality. This was the basis and fuel for the now released project. Str8jakkett and E.D.P. have been in the studio cooking up another highly anticipated album and basically the follow up to the Middle Finger Mentality. This awaited album is called, "Blackballed". The Middle Finger Mentality even goes beyond that though. It is also attacking the lack of support for upcoming artists and the sway of the hip hop game today. Str8jakkett remains loyal to the true hip hop culture and therefor will not conform to any modern day mumble rap.
