PUYANG, China - Oct. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- In the drilling industry a centralizer is a very popular device and when it comes to Casing Centralizer, it is a mechanical device that keeps well casing from touching the sides of the wellbore. The device provides better support for the weight of a pipe and they are used in many state and federal agencies recommend centralizers in certain drilling projects. It is mostly used in places where grouting the annular space around the casing is a requirement in the project.

The two kinds of this centralizer used in the industry are bow-spring centralizer and rigid centralizer. The bow-spring centralizer is slightly larger than the borehole. Rigid blade centralizers are made with a slip-on design and secure to the casing with set screws.

Casing Centralizer provides an even space around the casing for cementing. When setting well casing, one of the most crucial part is to apply the cement around the casing. The device helps in reducing the casing drag while running the casing into the borehole. Also does it prevent differential sticking of the casing as it is run into the hole and caking on wellbore walls by increasing the amount of fluid turbulence?
