Follow on Google News | Funding Grant to SAGE Provides Entrepreneur TrainingGovernor's Office of Small Business Assistance Awards Funding to San Antonio Small Business Service Provider
By: San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside SAGE, San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside, was selected as the only San Antonio nonprofit, to receive a $10,000 grant to help implement training programs, create opportunities for small businesses to obtain funding, and develop, publish and distribute useful small business-specific information. This funding will enable small business service providers a great degree of flexibility and creativity in their portfolio of offerings to small businesses across all communities. San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside plans to use funds for development of the Promise Zone to Entrepreneurship Conference & EXPO targeting current and prospective business owners. An event will be hosted on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 8:00am until 4:00pm at the Education Service Center Region 20. This event is free and open to approximately 150 San Antonio residents whose acceptance is predicated on creating a diverse audience of Eastside residents, formerly incarcerated, and veteran entrepreneur hopefuls.
