Cornerstone Shop & Gallery Hosts Guests & Events at Holiday Open House

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - Oct. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- The Cornerstone Shop & Gallery invites the public to attend its Holiday Open House on Nov. 5-6 and Nov. 12-13, 2016. The annual event features the latest on-trend holiday décor including an innovative collection of trees, ornaments and decorative items from Europe; holiday tablescape and design tips; gift ideas; apparel and accessories for holiday gatherings; special offers and drawings; treats and refreshments; and more.

Artist Karen Didion of Karen Didion Originals

This year's featured guest is artist Karen Didion, who will be at the Cornerstone Shop on Saturday, November 5^th from 10 am – 4pm to sign her handcrafted, collectible Santas. Karen Didion Originals' stunning "One-of-a-Kind" collection is handcrafted in the U.S., exclusively by Karen, who incorporates antique toys, ornaments, and accessories into each piece, as well as her own beautiful hand-painted Santa porcelain faces and real wool beards. Each gorgeous design is signed by Karen and numbered as the only collectible of its kind, along with a collector's certificate of authenticity. Her "Christmas Collection" features exquisite and unique fabrics such as tapestry, velvet, jacquard knit, satin, velour, suede and leather. Novelty prints and designer buttons set off the vests and coats. Faux fur, embroidery, unusual braid and tassels are used as trims. Each collectible is reproduced with the highest quality and attention and is personally examined and approved by a member of the Didion family. This collection comes with sewn in collector's tags and a miniature artist profile on the back of each figurine. A variety of Santas from both collections will be available for purchase and signing during the event.

Cookie Decorating Class & Book Signing

On Friday, November 11^th, from 6-7:30 pm, the store is offering a cookie decorating class with cookie expert Kathi Bradbury Frelk. Frelk will share decorating tips and secrets, and each participant will be given 3-5 cookies to decorate. Following the class, Frelk will sign copies of her book, Kathi's Cookie Chronicles, which features recipes and stories of Kathi's cookies, faith and family, including Mary Perkins Bradbury, a 70-year-old mother of 11 who was tried, convicted and sentenced to hang as a witch in Salem, MA in 1692! The class is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to attend, but space is limited. Cost is $10 per person. RSVP by Nov. 1 to Melody at 262-515-0375.
