KENT, Wash. - Oct. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- As one of the nation's leading builders, Lennar understands that dual living situations are a growing trend today in American Living, with more than 50 million Americans living in multigenerational homes — typically defined as three generations together under one roof. To accommodate this trend, Lennar introduced their Next Gen® – The Home Within A Home® line of floorplans. Lennar Seattle recently brought it to their Hawkesbury community in Kent with the Bainbridge plan, a Next Gen® floorplan, which they already offer in five other communities across four cities. Next year, they will introduce a brand new Next Gen® floorplan, the Vashon, at their Tehaleh community.

"We've had great success with our Next Gen design and love to see so many happy families finding their perfect fit in one of our unique multigenerational floorplans," said Bill Salvesen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "These are truly unlike anything you've seen from other builders; they are not dual master suites!"

Lennar's Next Gen homes allow extended families to live all in one place without sacrificing privacy. These unique home designs include an attached private suite that comes with a separate entrance, bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and laundry area, and in some cases a private one-car garage. A lockable door that connects the Next Gen suite to the interior of the main home allows for as much privacy from or direct access to both areas that each situation requires.

"We've seen so many different family types benefit from living in our multigenerational homes," Salvesen said. "Sometimes it's a family with young kids whose live-in grandparents act as full time nannies. Other times it's families with young adults still living at home, or families with children who have special needs. Next Gen homes are all about keeping these families together in a functional environment, all under one roof."

The Bainbridge plan offers residents a spacious home where everyone can live together. This home spans approximately 3,183 square feet that includes four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms in total. This plan is available at Tehaleh in Bonney Lake, McCormick Creek in Gig Harbor, Links at Indian Summer in Lacey, Lidera and Canton Ridge in Bothell and now, Hawkesbury in Kent.
