ABIS Inc Hosts 3 Presentations on How to Automate the Metal Construction Industry at Metalcon 2016

HOUSTON - Oct. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- Wednesday, October 26 and Thursday, October 27, at Metalcon 2016, ABIS will host 3 presentations explaining how leaders in the Metal Construction Industry have been automating their day to day tasks to increase productivity and decrease operational costs.

Business software is designed for companies to be able to do more with less. If your company is running a software or functioning on processes that require employees to do work for the sake of the system, it is time to change it. As a business grows, they tend to bring on a new software system for a particular process for the office or shop as an easy quick fix. This can cause problems later, when really the solution should be to find the program that will work with not just one department but together with every part of your business operations.

Why change? "This is always the way we have done it" is a typical statement heard within organizations. But the real question businesses should ask themselves is "was that the best way to do it originally or was that created to fix the constraints of the situation we were in?". Out of the box or "self-install software" forces your team to bridge the gap between how the software works and the manufacturing you do within your particular industry. These out of the box software systems can rarely match the operational need of the company.

After deciding on an ERP system or business intelligence system for your company, there will be a lot of meetings internally and with the software team for how things work today and how the new system will treat those processes. It is most important during this time to make sure the process we end up with is designed around the ideal situation and not include fixes to problems that are just from today's restraints. Establishing those processes with access to live reporting and full automatization is key to grow a business, and the right software system is a great tool to get businesses to that next level.

Greg Andrews, Training & Development Manager at ABIS will be hosting the 3 presentations at Metalcon 2016 in Baltimore. Greg manages the onboarding and continuous improvement training in ABIS. He trains the company's Data Analysts and Implementation Consultants on Adjutant software. He is also the subject matter expert in the metal building industry. Greg provides all end user training for new client-partners via on-site training sessions and webinars.
