Control Station Staff Recognized for Significant Contributions to Engineering Profession

Lindsey Fink Included in Control Engineering Magazine's 2016 Class of Engineering Leaders Under 40

MANCHESTER, Conn. - Oct. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Control Station today announced that another member of the company's engineering staff has been recognized by Control Engineering Magazine with the publication's annual Engineering Leaders Under 40 award.  Lindsey Fink is the third member of Control Station's staff who has been singled out by the publication with recognition for her contributions to the advancement of process manufacturing.

Ms. Fink came to Control Station with a charter to formalize the company's growing services practice.  Prior to joining the company she held engineering positions with Westinghouse Electric and Raytheon where she was responsible for formulating processes and standards needed to assure safe, efficient production.  Ms. Fink was actively recruited by Control Station in 2014 to implement similar processes to standardize and streamline the implementation, configuration and support of the company's PlantESP loop performance monitoring platform and other Control Station service offerings.  Since her arrival new deployments of the solution have increased dramatically as has demand for other of the company's training and optimization services.

"For years our portfolio of process diagnostic and optimization technologies have been recognized as award-winning and best-in-class," commented Dr. Rice, Control Station's Vice President of Engineering.  "Lindsey has been an exceptional addition to our engineering team.  With her receipt of this award Control Station can now point to best-in-class services personnel as a match to those technology-based offerings."

Control Engineering is a monthly publication focused on critical topics related to plant automation and control.  The publication's award was introduced in 2010 in an effort to recognize excellence within the global process control community.  Control Station's Bob Rice, PhD was included in the inaugural class of award recipients followed in 2011 by Brett Beauregard.  Whereas Dr. Rice and Mr. Beauregard distinguished themselves through their contributions to dynamic process modeling and plant-wide performance diagnostics, Ms. Fink was noted for excellence in the area of field engineering services.

PlantESP is among Control Station's broad portfolio of diagnostic and optimization technologies.  PlantESP leverages process information that is stored within a production facility's existing data historian.  As such it readily complements both regulatory and supervisory control solutions from other automation suppliers such as ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Yokogawa.  Through the application of advanced analytics PlantESP identifies negative trends related to control loop performance.  In particular PlantESP simplifies the identification of common mechanical issues such as Stiction and reoccurring loop interaction and PID controller tuning challenges.
