ICOP Technology adds RFID Upgrade to Already Robust/Flexible 4.3 Inch HMI Panel

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. - Oct. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- ICOP Technology, a global leading manufacturer and supplier of rugged x86 embedded solutions and PC-based industrial computer products, is excited to announce a RFID upgrade to the recently released HMI-043T, a compact (4.3") and flexible Human Machine Interface panel. This upgrade expands the HMI's functionality to an even broader range of markets.

The HMI-043T is powered by ICOP's own industrial grade, x86 EX System on Chip processor and is capable of running various operating systems like WinCE, Linux and an innovative, Arduino compatible, Ubuntu derivative called L86Duntu. All three are fully supported by ICOP.

The pairing of a High Frequency RFID reader with the HMI-043T's ability to support a desktop environment elevates a simple access control reader to a Smart Center.

In addition to functioning as an access control panel, card reader, and performing tasks like card control management and door scheduling, as a Smart Center, the HMI-403T can also consolidate all other security and access functions into one unit and therefore one location. This HMI platform allows for the control of various environmental systems such as Security, Climate, Lighting, and even Entertainment, in your home or building from a centralized access point.

Providing the hardware to display and interact with entryway access, lighting controls, appliance controls, thermostat setting, and even home entertainment can all be achieved from this simple but powerful HMI unit.

With its low cost and small form factor, the HMI-043T also allows for the implementation of many management centers throughout your building. Set up and installation are simple and minimal. Internet Based Monitoring can be accessed through 10/100M Ethernet, available through the HMI-043Ts innovative expansion I/O bus.  This I/O bus also allows for flexible customization of required I/Os.  The user has the option to choose between the RS-232 or RS-485 serial standards, CANbus or 8-bit GPIO. PoE following IEEE 802.3at standard is available and eliminates the need to constantly change temporary and unreliable battery supplies.

The HMI-043T features a compact and durable, 4.3 inch, IP-65 rated front touch LCD with 350 nits of brightness.  Its compact size and bright screen along with a generous temperature range support of 0-50 C (-20 to 60 C optional) allows the panel to be used placed in a variety of different environments.
