i.MX6 SOM for Embedded Applications

BANGALORE, India - Oct. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- iWave offers i.MX6 SOMs in various form factors for wide range of embedded applications. The standard Qseven compatible SOM and the size optimized SODIMM SOM module finds its suitability in several novel applications and adapted by many customers for general embedded applications in the past 4 years.

The SOM is field proven and heavily adapted for applications such as process control equipment's, data loggers, remote administration devices, point of sale, weighing scales, signage systems, HMI panels, health care monitoring, streaming devices, video surveillance, vehicle information systems, access control devices, energy management and smart appliances.

The i.MX6 modules are available for long term 10 years support and supported both in commercial and industrial grade operating temperature. The various i.MX6 CPU versions such as i.MX6 Quad, Dual, Dual lite, Solo, Ultralite, ULL are supported by iWave systems.

The SOM supports 512MB RAM for i.MX6 Solo version and 1GB RAM for other i.MX6 CPU versions by default. The RAM upgradation up to 2GB for i.MX6 Solo SOM and up to 4GB for other i.MX6 CPU based SOMs is available. 4GB eMMC Flash is supported by default which can be upgraded up to 128GB. iWave accepts (http://www.syedusman.com/) the custom RAM and Flash configurations with the minimum order quantity.

iWave provides the development kits for its various i.MX6 SOMs with Linux, Android and WEC7 BSP support.
