Launch of Home Care Consortium in Lancashire

COLNE, U.K. - Dec. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- We Care Together is a new commercial consortium based in Lancashire, rooted in the community. Our members are all Domiciliary Care providers whose primary customer is Lancashire County Council.

The Home Care market is fragmented with many providers running small, family businesses that are often operating at break-even (at best). Our aim is to bring together as many providers as possible and create market presence, efficiency savings and the sharing of best practice. The primary objective is to help create sustainable home care organisations that receive appropriate rewards for their efforts.

We Care Together's vision is to create an integrated and effective approach to the delivery of Domiciliary Care across Lancashire, providing seamless seven-day a week care to service users. The efficiency of each care agency will be optimised through the sharing of standards, ideas, processes and resources. We will provide one point of contact for Lancashire County Council. We want individual providers to retain their autonomy, whilst designing ways of working together to provide a level of resilience and responsiveness that may be difficult for a single provider to achieve on their own.

We Care Together is open to all Domiciliary Care providers, whether they be commercial, voluntary or community enterprises, that are based in Lancashire or neighbouring counties. The overriding aim is to maximise opportunities to derive costs savings from economies of scale. We consolidate back office functions, such as payroll, auto enrolment, systems, compliance and training, ensuring we minimise cost but maintain quality and performance.
