By: Ziegenfelder Company Billups, who is part of the team at Ziegenfelder's Denver plant, received the recognition from RefrigiWear, Inc., which presents the Warehousemen of the Year Award to nominees based upon important values such as leadership, productivity, ingenuity and attitude. "We're so proud of Patricia, and truly grateful to have her in the Twin Pop family," said Lisa Allen, President and CEO of the Ziegenfelder Company. "This award emphasizes the qualities we feel are so important to developing a successful team and serve our customers. Patricia epitomizes those values and qualities." For 155 years, the Ziegenfelder name has been synonymous with wholesome frozen treats such as its Budget Saver Twin Pops. The company, headquartered in Wheeling, West Virginia, and with plants in Denver, Colorado, and Chino, California, is the largest producer of frozen twin pops in the United States. Billups, 59, was nominated for the award by James Martinez, Warehouse Operations Supervisor at Ziegenfelder's Denver plant. Her position is Freezer Lead, and Billups is training to become a warehouse supervisor. "Each year RefrigiWear celebrates Warehousemen by inviting companies across the United States and Canada to nominate their outstanding performers for the Warehousemen of the Year Award," stated a letter from RefrigiWear Inc. President Ron Breakstone announcing Billups' selection.
