LAFAYETTE, La. - Nov. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Judge White will hold the press conference at the Orleans Parish Criminal Court building located at Tulane and Broad. Judge White will be making her official statement regarding the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal's decision handed down on November 4th, with respect to an improperly obtained restraining order by Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods against the White campaign.

The appellate court ruled against Woods concerning the issuance of said restraining order that was improperly obtained and not pursuant to La. R.S.-18-1471. The appellate court effectively vacated the restraining order. It also concluded that the restraining order was "improperly requested" by Woods and "improperly entered by the trial court." Judge White will explain her position and recap her actual endorsements during the November 6th press conference.

For years, Judge White has been a champion of the disenfranchised of New Orleans' urban population, She has experience in the areas of being a criminal defense attorney, prosecutor and Criminal Court Judge, eventually becoming Chief Criminal Judge, which gave her a platform where she could positively effect a difference. In 2010, Judge White created the Re-Entry Program that permeated Louisiana's state prisons, giving many inmates not only a second chance to get it right, but also one that gives them the tools needed to be able to effectively re-integrate into society. She is now running for the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal where she will be able to employ her real world knowledge and legal work to accurately review and contribute to important court decisions. Judge White is acutely aware of the problems within the justice system and she will continue to be a champion of justice through her qualifications, which include fairness and her decades of legal expertise, as well as her judicial experience.

Judge White is likely to be the first candidate to have ever received staunch support from many in the local and national Hip Hop community, including Actor Clifton Powell, Actor Jason Mitchell, RMR/0017th artist BTY YoungN, G-Unit's Kidd Kidd, Bre-Z, Comedy Goon's Mario P, Rude Jude, Blip Da Flyermann, Publicist Hurricane Arlene, and countless others. They recognize Judge White as a champion of justice and as an influential figure who has assisted countless individuals to reintegrate into society. Judge White has also introduced actions and programs to reduce the rate of recidivism and to give people a second chance at a positive outcome at life. These celebrities from the Hip Hop community also realize without the benefit of someone like Judge White serving on the Court of Appeal, our youth and many from the inner city may not have the opportunity to prosper to their full potential. They understand that when the powers that be take part in sending the disenfranchised down the prison pipeline, it is nearly impossible for them to become productive citizens once released from incarceration and that in fact, they are most likely going to remain in the system for the rest of their lives, without proper and adequate intervention.

Judge White is #71 on the ballot for the election on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. For more information, visit http://www.JudgeLaurieWhite.com.
