Republic Services, Cambridge Companies and Larson Design Group Recognized with ENR Southwest Award

GRIFFITH, Ind. - Nov. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Republic Services, Cambridge Companies (waste facility design-build experts based in Griffith, IN) and Larson Design Group (civil, structural and MEP engineering company based in Apalachin, NY), were awarded ENR Southwest's Energy/Industrial Best Project for Republic's Southern Nevada Recycling Center.  The project is being honored at the ENR Best Project Event in Phoenix, AZ on November 10, 2016.

Completed in November 2015, Republic's Southern Nevada Recycling Center is the largest residential single-stream recycling center in the nation and is set to double residential recycling capacity in southern Nevada. . It is a 110,000 sq. ft. facility with highly advanced recycling technologies, an interactive learning center, automated control systems, touch-screen Human Machine Interface controls, Supervisory Control, Data Acquisition monitoring, remote access to continually monitor operations, five optical sorters and 500kW of solar power located on the roof. .

Cambridge Companies and the Larson Design Group worked with Republic Services throughout the course of the project and are honored to have been chosen as the Best Energy/Industrial Project by ENR Southwest.
