WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Nov. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- The Skyliners Drum & Bugle Corps announces that their Open House will take place:

      Date:
         Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 10:00 - 7:00 P.M.
         Check-In: 9:00 a.m.

Location:     Wyoming Valley West High School
150 Wadham Street, Plymouth, PA 18651

The Skyliners completed their third successful season since their 2014 return to the DCA Field of Competition and their move to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA area.   We are an all-age drum and bugle corps that is welcoming members in all sections - Brass, Battery, Front Ensemble and Color Guard - for our 2017 season.  While we recommend previous drum corps, high school or college marching band experience, it is not required.

The Skyliners' 2017 show is called XSCAPE!   The design team includes Thomas Sparling, Program Coordinator and Visual Designer; John Meehan, Brass Arranger; Ted Mascari, Percussion Arranger; Ryan Reed, Front Ensemble Arranger; James Branche and Krysta Ganey, Color Guard Designers; and Matthew Stevens, Visual Show Consultant.

To build on the success of last season, and offer continuity, all Caption Heads are returning for the 2017 season.  These include Jeff Crawford, Visual Caption Head who is returning for his fourth season with the Skyliners; Patsy Vankirk, Percussion Caption Head for whom this will be her third season; Shane Startzel who is returning for his second season as Brass Caption Head, and Brenda Perigrim, Color Guard Caption Head, who is in her third season since Skyliners' return to the competition field in 2014.

If you are looking for a place to belong, for a place to improve your personal abilities and achieve team goals while having fun, the Skyliners is the place to be!  We offer affordable tuition, leadership opportunities, a high velocity, intensity-packed brass and percussion-driven marching program, and a dynamic color guard/visual program.
