SAN DIEGO - Nov. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- The US Navy Nurse Corps was established in 1908 as a way to allow women to serve in naval hospitals. Since then, they've expanded to include men as well. Their roles have been vital in many theaters, to include the Los Banos POW Camp of World War 2, in which many prisoners say that without the also-imprisoned naval nurses, they would not have survived until American forces rescued them all in 1942.
