By: WOMEN'S ENERGY NETWORK Philadelphia, PA – November 30, 2016 – The Women's Energy Network (WEN) officially launched the Greater Philadelphia Chapter last night with over 50 supporters at PECO's Energy Hall in Philadelphia. The Greater Philadelphia Chapter spans the tri-state region of PA, NJ, and DE, and members from all three states were represented at the launch. Catherine Ward, Partner at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP, spoke on behalf of the law firm as the Chapter's first Gold Sponsor. Ms. Ward is also the Chapter's Secretary. Rachel D. Miller, a Partner at Forbes-Tate and President-Elect of the WEN National Board of Directors, was the Guest Speaker. Cristina Jorge Schwarz, WEN Greater Philadelphia President, and Elizabeth Santoro, President-Elect, are the two responsible for bringing WEN to the Greater Philadelphia region. Ms. Jorge Schwarz is Managing Director at ExE, Ltd., and Ms. Santoro is Project Specialist at Philadelphia Energy Solutions. "Our Chapter's members are as diverse in background as our region's energy portfolio" said Jorge Schwarz. The WEN Greater Philadelphia Chapter's mission is to help the industry attract, retain, and develop professional women in energy through networking, education, and community initiatives.
