James E. Dicks Jr. Selected Vice Chair DoD ESGR IT Subcommittee

ORLANDO, Fla. - Dec. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense Office established to promote cooperation and understanding between Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from the employee's military commitment.

Dicks' Active participation will do much to enhance the effectiveness of
the Information Technology Subcommittee and positively impact mission accomplishment throughout ESGR says Alex Baird Executive Director.

James Dicks will upport the DoD/ESGR mission by advising ESGR leadership on the appropriate use of information technology. Advise on issues of computing, telephony, video, software development and other information technology; Work with ESGR leadership and Program Integration and Training (PIT) to develop and keep current an annually-revised Strategic Plan for Information Technology embodying a vision for how ESGR can employ information technology to support its mission; Advise on policies, procedures, and standards for employment and deployment of information technology; Ensure that the ESGR community is kept informed about information technology issues and initiatives, and provide a channel to bring into the ESGR's planning and evaluation processes the concerns and suggestions of ESGR volunteers and staff; Review and report annually to PIT, senior leadership, and ESGR volunteers and staff on the status of information technology at ESGR and progress towards goals and objectives.
